Ingredients
  

For the Pizza Dough:

  • 1 1/2 cups warm water 110°F
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

For the Garlic Pizza Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley optional

For the Pizza Toppings:

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup baby spinach optional
  • 1/2 cup sautéed mushrooms optional
  • 1/2 cup cooked chicken breast optional
  • Fresh basil leaves optional for garnish

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the Pizza Dough

  • In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Stir and let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir to form dough.
  • Knead dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise for 1 hour.

Step 2: Make the Garlic Pizza Sauce

  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add heavy cream and milk, then bring to a simmer. Stir in salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  • Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 3: Assemble the Pizza

  • Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
  • Punch down dough, roll it out, and place on a greased baking sheet.
  • Spread garlic sauce over dough.
  • Top with mozzarella, ricotta, Parmesan cheese, and desired toppings (spinach, mushrooms, chicken, etc.).

Step 4: Bake the Pizza

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve.
