Ingredients
  

For the Cheese Filling:

  • 8 oz block mozzarella cheese cut into 1-inch cubes
  • Optional: 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Optional: 1 tsp Italian seasoning

For the Breading:

  • 2 cups Nacho Cheese Doritos crushed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper optional

For Frying:

  • Vegetable oil for deep frying

Instructions
 

  • Prep the Cheese: Cut mozzarella into 1-inch cubes. Freeze for 15–20 minutes to firm them up.
  • Crush Doritos: Pulse Doritos in a food processor or crush in a bag with a rolling pin until fine.
  • Set Up Dredging Station:
  • Bowl 1: Mix flour, paprika, black pepper, and cayenne.
  • Bowl 2: Beat eggs and milk together.
  • Bowl 3: Fill with crushed Doritos.
  • Bread the Cheese: Coat each cube in flour, dip in egg wash, then roll in Doritos. Repeat egg and Doritos for a double layer.
  • Chill Again: Place coated cubes on a tray and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  • Heat Oil: In a heavy pan, heat oil to 350–375°F (175–190°C).
  • Fry: Fry cubes in batches for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown. Do not overcrowd the pan.
  • Drain & Serve: Place on paper towels to drain. Serve hot with dipping sauces.
